Contrary to what those critics and negative news syndicates say about Chicago, it may be most definitely, absolutely, and beyond any shred of doubt that Chicago is just the best place in this world. Whatever said, I really love Chicago and would not think about living in another place in this world. If I had to choose which city would rank alongside Chicago in my opinion, it would be London-even though I haven’t been there yet-because they just have so many tons and tons and tons of the top vegan restaurants which define what a vegan-friendly place should be.

That’s little it amazes so many, with great Chicago having immense vegan restaurants across the city and suburbs, and I’m very sure that being a vegan, you wouldn’t even sleep without something entering your stomach in Chicagoland. As a matter of fact, if you LOVE food as much as I do, being vegan in Chicago is a huge discipline otherwise you will never be able to fit in your favorite pants, dress, or skirt. Whether it is vegan omelets, vegan croissants, vegan milkshakes, vegan lasagna, vegan soul food, vegan pizza, vegan ice cream, vegan brownies, vegan donuts, vegan cookies, vegan cake, vegan hamburgers, vegan sausage, vegan steak, vegan fish, vegan seafood, vegan tacos, vegan coleslaw, vegan chicken salad, vegan candy, vegan pasta, vegan stuffed meatballs, vegan calzones, vegan salad, vegan mac and cheese, or whatever else your taste buds can imagine, then Chicago is where you can get the world’s greatest vegan food today! It would not go astray to say that my top two vegan restaurants in Chicago are the Chicago Diner and Dimo’s Pizza. Of course, I have not been to literally every restaurant in Chicago-or else I would surely break the scale at well over 1000 pounds; these are among my favorite Chicago vegan foodie hot spots! The greatest thing about it is that it’s literally all over town, and it holds some of the tastiest vegan food I have ever eaten. Pretty vegan-friendly, vegetarian-friendly, and they do have a good number of gluten-free options.
Lemme tell you-I have had their milkshake, chocolate cake, and tofu scramble. The flavors that hit those taste buds in those aging teeth of mine sent me to vegan heaven, singing!!!!
They are the winners of the Chicago Reader ‘Best of Chicago Readers‘ Choice award, ‘Best Vegan Restaurant’ in 2017, 2016, 2015 and 2014. They have four locations throughout the city of Chicago, and though they are not totally a vegan pizzeria, they have a lot of great, super cheesy vegan pizzas, and they have a vegan menu in place. Some of their vegan pizzas are: Vegan Florence Ballard, The Vegan Mac, The Vegan Stamets, The Vegan Margherita, The Vegan Dimo Florentine, The Vegan BBQ Chicken Cheddar Ranch, The Vegan Buff Chick, Vegan Elote.

Today, I’ve been hearing about the XMarket Vegan Food Hall, and the reason is because my brother researches every place that sells vegan food. Today he just came upon this pretty cool vegan food hall that happened to be the first 100% vegan food hall in Chicago. It’s a 6,500 square foot vegan haven and located in Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood on Montrose Ave; and was recently opened this month, featuring all vegan restaurants including Kale My Name, Bloom Plant Based Kitchen, Kitchen 17, Chicago Not Dogs, and El Hongo Magico Plant-Based Taqueria. Check them out at https://plantx.com/pages/xmarket-food-hall Kitchen 17, located at 2554 W Diversey is home of the original Chicago vegan deep-dish pizza! Stuff I am crazy about, could eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but with my weight, that is not so great. Two slices of this vegan Chicago deep-dish pizza are most definitely more than all right.
The thing you would have loved most about Kitchen 17 is that its menu is whole or 100% vegan, and you get everything from highly-recognized vegan deep dish pizzas to their Mac and Cheese. Oh, and I forgot to mention that they will even have it delivered to you in case you cannot make it out to Chi-town, aka Chicago. See : https://kitchen17.com The other places in the order of visits in Chicago that come in include Alice & Friends’ Vegan Kitchen, Urban Vegan Thai Cuisine, Loving Heart Vegan Caf , Majani Soulful Vegan Cuisine, Vegan World Caf , and Chicago Raw and Bloom Plant-Based Kitchen. Seriously, there are hundreds of vegan restaurants here, come for a visit soon.
Lemme know when you’re in town, and we can share some nice yummy vegan food together.
